In celebration of one of the most curious and inventive minds of any age, the University of Technology, Sydney is pleased to invite you to:
Models of Invention: the Science Fiction of Leonardo da Vinci
It was Leonardo da Vinci’s imagination that set him apart from all others. His ideas pursued the practical challenges of day to day life and anticipated many of the mechanical wonders that we take for granted today.
Models of Invention takes a new look at da Vinci’s work as a form of futurism. It showcases a selection of da Vinci's designs constructed as three dimensional models and explores his genius for finding connections between design, art, science and technology that caused an explosion of possibility across Renaissance Europe.
